Dr.Debesh Chandra Patra Ph.D was initiated into Sri Sri Thakur's discipline in 1974 and since then has been closely associated with the Satsang related activities.

On academic front, he completed Post Graduation in Economics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India (1983) and " Advanced Diploma in Management Research" from All India Management Association, New Delhi (1998) India. He has attended short term professional courses in reputed institutes like College of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Oxford (UK); Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, India; Xavier Labour Research Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur,India; Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi and Tata Management Training Center (TMTC) Pune, India.

Debesh is a business executive by profession. He joined Department of Economic Analysis and Policy, Researve Bank of India in 1985.From 1987 onwards, he has been with Bharat Petroleum Corporation and handled many significant assignments.

Debesh has published a number of articles in journals and conference proceedings.Besides writing on subjects like Energy and Economics, Debesh's massive contribution to socio-cultural journal "The See-ence" on cultural and spiritual topics which are available in this website is a must read page.
